Cafodd Nia Morgan ei hysbrydoli i osod y gerdd i gerddoriaeth, mae’r artist gwerin yn rhoi atgoffâd dymunol a theimladwy o’i dawn fel cyfansoddwraig, cantores ac aml-offerynnwr (gitâr, y delyn a’r ffidl yn yr achos hwn).
'Ballad of the Woods' is a poem by James Lyons, who died on his way to fight in the First World War. Inspired to set the poem to music, folk artist Nia Morgan here gives a welcome and vibrant reminder of her talent as songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist (in this case, guitar, harp and violin).

Bought solely for the beats of the two haunting Alys Williams tracks, though I respect the artist's vision by getting the entire album rather than individual tracks. I'm glad I did so, because while I still don't think that the collection hangs together that well, the other tracks are growing on me.
